In addition to the four originally planned proposed redesigns, after consultation with our technical advisor it was concluded that a fifth and extra structure was needed to help eliminate flooding in the concerned residential area. The fifth structure is a lateral structure that is two-feet tall along the banks of the stream in the residential neighborhood. This fifth and extra structure helps contain and mitigate the total flooding of a 24-hour 100 year rain event that was found through the HEC-RAS program.
